Biskupin is a must visit to any archaeologist coming for the first time to Poland and does not require any further recommendation. It has international fame thanks to a wide publicity of pre-war excavations in many international journals, Antiquity included. In the aerial world it has been repeatedly evoked as the first application of aerial photographs in Poland, though they mainly served documentary purposes. Part of that collection, as well as other historical photographs taken during excavations and held by Poznań Archaeological Museum, have been published at http://www.muzarp.poznan.pl/muzeum/muz_pol/Arena/Biskupin/ as part of an international project Archaeological Records of Europe: Networked Access (ARENA). The originals were scanned to a high quality and can be downloaded by users.

Visitors to Biskupin will have a unique occasion to see one of the greatest experimental workshops, since September is a traditional festival time during which many traditional crafts are demonstrated.
