pre-conference reception will be held in a music and art café-restaurant
"Pod Pretekstem", located in the Rose Courtyard of "Zamek" (the Castle)
Castle itself is an early 20th century piece of architecture in Neo-Romanesque
style, built as a residence for the Emperor Wilhelm II and thus by some
Poznanians still regarded as a visible sign of Prussian annexation and
imposition of its presence on the cityscape. Today it houses the "Zamek"
Cultural Centre, the Animation Theatre and many other institutions which
makes it a major cultural centre, famous for organisation and participation
in numerous musical and theatrical events, conferences, festivities, exhibitions
restaurant is located a few minutes leisurely walk from the conference
centre "Jowita". It can be accessed from Niepodległości alley via a small
public park, the main entrance at Fredry street or gateway at Kościuszko
street (please cross the courtyard in latter cases).
note that two drinks and snacks are complimentary, but any further drinks
and food are at your own expense.
