The official Poznań website offers 10 different tourist routes. We would particularly recommend:

... The Old Market Square and adjacent areas are among the most interesting places to see with the Renaissance town hall, old tenement houses, numerous museums and monuments.

Ostrów Tumski is the oldest part of Poznań, one of the first major centres of the Piast-dynasty state. Visitors can see the medieval Cathedral, 15th century Church of Our Lady, St. Casimir Church and St. Margaret's Churches.

.
Poznań Citadel, 19th century fortress (now a vast park) may be of particular interest for those interested in military history. The remains of the fortifications house the Museum of Armaments and the Museum of the "Poznań" Army. There are also cemeteries for soldiers who died in the two World Wars.

Palm House with a collection 17 thousand plants of 700 species and subspecies from the Mediterranean, subtropical, tropical, savannah and desert climates is one of the biggest institutions of this type in Europe. There is also a rich collection of exotic fish.
