19. Outlines of thick walls
of dried bricks, overlaid with a layer of mud and whitewash, appear at
the eastern edge of the excavations, near to the pyramid. Their external
contour has several recesses, resembling a facade of a palace. A fragmentary
"false-door" made of limestone for a nobleman whose name was meref-nebef
comes to light at its north-eastern corner, just under the surface of the
earth.
